Reflection

WOW, it's already December 2nd..well actually it is the 3rd and life for the girls seems happy.
Ryan put up the Christmas tree and some of the decorations. It's nice to see our house decorated. Every year I look at our tree and am so happy. I do wish I could have a tree filled with white lights and blue and silver bulbs.....but then I see our tree light up with all the crazy kids ornaments put here and there and the color lights, and it makes my heart sing. My children LOVE this tree. They love the all the hand made ornaments and recapping how we got this one or when they made that one. It makes me feel so blessed to be their mother.

That really made me stop to think just how happy I am to be their mother. I guess with Ryan and I filing..and a court hearing set for tomorrow, I am feeling a little mushy when it comes to my girls.

I just cannot even start to imagine life without them. I remember being a little girl and knowing all I wanted to be when I grew up was a superstar mommy. I mean I had one..so it couldn't be that hard. Right? So fast forward thirty some odd years and here I am blessed with three of the most amazing girls. How I got so lucky, I don't know..but I do know that all the stress, and the running back and forth, and all the homemade lunches are all worth it. I love everyday being able to say yes those are my three girls!
What did I do in the pre mortal life to be gifted with such great blessings, I am not sure. But I thank Heavenly Father EVERY SINGLE day for these three blessings. They have been the main reason I have been able to hold it together for so long.
Thanks girls for being simply amazing!
I love you

A day of rest

This week I was thankful for the Sabbath. I was super thankful for my day of rest. With everything going on around me, I am thankful for the forced day to sit and just do nothing. Because of the Sabbath I know that my dishes can sit. The girls schedules are on pause...and we can spend this day enjoying our Savior and all the blessings we have. Today's lesson in class it was about The Law of Chastity and the value of a journal. The Chastity thing, I got that..but the value of a journal thing..I really haven't made it a priority. Which is crazy because anyone who really knows me, knows that I am super vain and I love my own handwriting...and that I love anything handwritten. I hate how it is in this day and age that the gift of a handwritten note is lost. I love sitting down and writing just catch up notes..or thank yous.

So as our lives still keep changing, I wanted to stop and catch my girls in this point in time.

You love...
animals
food
church
friends
soccer
video games
soda
shoes
computer
blue
cel phone
facebook
pajama pants
your family

You would prefer not too:
Condition with Coach Doug
Kisses.
Expressing your emotions
Irritating sisters
anything purple to drink or eat

I love everything you are. I love everything you are becoming. I am lucky for the gift of you!

Wait what?

November 11th..already. I can't believe it! Where did the past few months go?

I can't believe that thanksgiving..Christmas Enrichment..my birthday..my parents coming to visit..and Christmas is just around the corner. WOW...

I look back on pictures of last year...
and realize just how much my girls have grown and changed.
It's amazing to look back on this year and see just what things have happened. And this year has been such a transition year, even more then last year, for the girls and I.

So we have started Christmas card planning..which made me sigh at the pictures of Christmas cards of the past
Happy Veteran's Day!

A season comes to an end

Wow..writing that title a lot of things come to mind...Our life is AGAIN in transition..but this time I feel good about it...it is probably the calm before the storm..but you just never know. Ryan is gone....maybe that is why I am at peace. Who knows..we will see what happens in a few weeks...

But fall soccer ended for Tyra
we are so BLESSED to have Coach Doug. He loves soccer and loves to see my child improve. Tyra in her ever effortless way, always make people smile! This soccer season Tyra has grown a lot..mostly socially
these two have been at my house every weekend! We love us some christina joy and samantha
With the end of a season also brings us more free time!!!
Yea right...Tyra tried out and made the middle school team here in FANTASTIC yulee..so we will fill out afternoons with soccer practice there...and the little ones are still in their season..so don't think we escape the busy of a soccer season.

So on top of that..we have been having fun with friends
Well, on the big scheme of things, our family is doing great. Everyone seems happy..and they are healthy and pushing forward in our adventures! Through these times it is amazing just to know who you can depend on...and who just washes away with the tide.

Whew...

Everyday has been crazy. I am not complaining..because lately..all I can say is I have been so lucky to be around to raise my children. To be a part of their everyday lives, it is pretty amazing..with the soccer practices and dolphin singers...it all makes it okay!

Here is a peek into what we have been doing!!!

We said goodbye to Christopher!!
Isn't that one good looking family?
Soaked up the last days of heat
Found some face painting

A fashion show here and there
but most times..our days end with one of these!!!
It makes everyday worth it!

The sign of change

Today I found out that only six percent of the kids at the primary school my children go to have seen the sound of music. I mean seriously....I bet all of them know of Naruto and dora..but NEVER the Sound of Music. It sorta made me sad. Today in class my child was the only one who knew all the words to Do Re Mi. I mean all the words...Like Julie Andrews version.

Anyway..today I found this on my friends blog...sorta fitting I guess.

If you haven't seen Sound of Music...go see it. Have your kids see it. If you need to borrow it..we have it on DVD and video..not to mention the soundtrack on itunes AND Cd.

the peacefulness of wednesday

I love Wednesdays!
I love that it is the middle of the week...and sorta the transition towards the weekend
It is church for tyra and I
It is the one day out of the week that we do not have soccer!
It is the one day during the week that I don't feel rushed to do anything.
Since church does not start until six thirty..our entire afternoon is spent doing nothing!
Wednesdays, wendy's has kids meals for free here on the island...which means no cooking!

So every week, when I wake up on wednesday I feel a sense of happiness!
Besides wednesday happiness...other things are happening here...
Yes, her first tooth out!
