Saturday's to do list

This Saturday is amazing! The sun is out and the best part of this Saturday...NO SOCCER! I know we love playing soccer, but not having to getup and go to soccer today, just makes my day amazing! A day of no planning and just not caring..AWESOME! Ry's parents leave today so they took the girlies, minus tyra, to the beach! So it's a errand sort of day!
So my to do list....
1. Chicklets to the beach with grandparents.
2. Walgreens to pick up more pictures
3. fix Kahe's glasses
4. Finish Nanea's bday invites
5. Order cold stone cake
6. plan out goodie bags
7. Decide what I am making for Potluck Sunday
8. Get Nanea's birthday present!
I hope your Saturday is as blissful as mine!

Thanks 10's

Always remember that you are loved,
even when it doesn't seem like it.

Believe in yourself and your values.
Don't sell out when things go wrong.

Don't let anything get you down;
always bounce back up.

Set goals for your future
and never settle for anything less.

Realize that there are others in the world
with much bigger problems than you.

Appreciate the good things in your life,
and be thankful for the time you have with your loved ones.

Spend more time with your family and friends.

Appreciate the simple things in life,
and don't get caught up in material things.

If you follow that advice you can't go wrong!

So the next time you're looking at a situation in your life:

Is the cup half empty? Or is the cup half full?

Be an optimist and see the cup as being half full.
Before long, your attitude will rub off on others.
You can make the world a better place
by simply making yourself a happier person.

If you see someone without a smile,
give them one of yours.
Here's one to get you started.

Isn't it amazing

On how people feel that they have a say in your parenting! My pretend friend Chris lets her kids ride up and down the street on their bikes...WITHOUT AN HELMET. I know, call the cops! For me, I HATE the helmet. I survived without one. My children will survive without one. Scooters with no shoes and no pads...also no helmet. Sure go ahead, who cares. Is it really neglect?

Of course I say no. Anytime my child is without her helmet going down the street, I know my mother in law is screaming. Guess what she sent with their Easter baskets? Helmets. Do my children use them? No! It is just something else in their rooms..or wait is it in the garage? But the main point is that everyone loves to criticize other parents and their skills.  Lately, my phrase has been you cannot judge others just because they sin differently then you!

Now I am SO guilty of things like this.  I have really had a struggle to hold back my tongue, but I have been doing better!  But it baby steps to improvements for me!  It is SO MUCH better!

The good and the bad

Everyday, everyone is faced with a little plus and a little minus. Tyra calls it the days ying and yang. Now you would have to be Chinese to believe in the delicate balance that is your Chi. Today has been that type of day. My beautiful new wireless printer, sat in it's box for a few days. I am SORRY wonderful printer, but to set you up, it needed a higher power, and he works a lot. But tonight, I was a witch, and got him to do it. Well, not the total bit. Just the SSID and some other silliness that he keeps to himself.

SO that is my plus..and right now I am just too lazy to upload pictures right now. But lets just say...wireless printing is a new found happiness that I am having right now. Right as we speak I am sitting on the couch, the printer located in a different room is printing off pictures. OH happiness. I hear it clugging away, pulling HP photo paper from it's tray. Happiness.
Well today we a semi busy day. Doctors for more test...setting up wireless printers...and then picking up the girlie girls from school. Jetting off to Orange Park for a quick meeting..and then dinner at the Olive Garden to have dinner with two smokin' hot mormons and wishing one a very Happy Birthday. It is tomorrow, but I am not driving back down there. I plan on doing laundry. It's all clean, but just needs to be put away. It is my life story.

Ry's parents arrive this weekend. Note my excitement. I am more excited about a possible chance of playing softball this weekend! YEA! Hopefully the rain stops and the heat dries the fields. Here's hoping!

My minus' is that my family is going through a transition. A really shitty transition if you ask me. But in the stand of pluses...my testimony is strong! I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and that even though I may not like his plan, my rewards are going to be great in the end.

So Heavenly Father, here I am leaning, being a child in need. Your guidence, your peace, help me!
okay..enough of that..huh!!!

Mom Quiz

"

Today i miss Hawaii Nei

I love birthdays. I mean I seriously love love love birthdays! I love to make bdays a huge deal! I sorta feel it is the one day that you get to be spoiled and I make sure to do it for my children. I am totally over the top and invite way too many people, but I am a sucker for a birthday fun! So here I am, again reminded just how much I miss home. In Hawaii, it would be nothing to plan a birthday party at home. Surrounded by all her cousins and swimming in grandmas pool. BUT NO...we don't have a pool and we don't have grandma!

I am thinking a trip to Disney, sorry #1, and Sea World with one friend and we will call that a birthday.  Maybe have cake and ice cream at the house some day later on in the week!  #1 will be at girls camp, but not like she wants to have out with her 7 and soon to be 6 year old sisters at Magic Kingdom.  Who knows what is going to happen.  I mean we are just a few weeks out and still no birthday invites or anything!  Goss I suck as a mom lately!

Our final U8 soccer practice of the season

Logan is so much fun!
The potty training has had a few minor set backs...like we have the most ADD puppy around, but it is all a process.  Luckily he is a cutie!
Our morning started off with wishing Ms. Hope a happy 21st birthday!!  Okay Hope isn't 21, but we are measuring her youth at heart!!!  I only had a minute to jet in there..give her hugs..and jet out, but I loved that my day had me going up there anyway..and stopping in at her breakfast was just on my way...seems like Heavenly Fathers plan, doesn't it.  She is looking fantastic as always...and I hope her birthday was full of happiness and love!
Then it was lunch with #1 pick up her sisters...and then we had our final practice of this season.  And boy it has been a long two and half months.  I love my children and I love that they play soccer, but I am SO over being the coach!  I know that seems horrible to say, but I really just want to enjoy my children playing soccer.  NOW, I love all my kids that play for me.  And I have enjoyed the coaching process.  I love finding out what works for each child and making them successful!  I love to see their perform at a level they didn't know they could....BUT boy the pressure!  So today I let me kids run wild and just have fun!  Cause isn't that WHY we played soccer to begin with???
Then it was off to Mutual for #1.  Today my children told me they LOVE church..  Well at least the two baby girls.  And they both said Sunday is their most favorite day of the week!  Talk about making me smile!  I often remember going to church on Sundays as a crazy struggle for my children.  NO one wanted to get up and get going...and now, my children are up and out.  And this is the earliest service we have ever been to!  So thank you Heavenly Father.
But I think I found us a new house.  We are praying on it..and actually go and see the insides tomorrow.  My kids are totally besides themselves, it has a pool, and is walking distance to church.  Pretty amazing!  And it has a porch for rocking and hanging out...The minuses, at least from the outside...the plants.  I am not a planting yard kind of girl.  I mean I LOVE the pretties, but I just don't have that kind of time in my day...OH and no fenced in back yard.  But it is on a cul de sac, but it is the first house.  So pluses and minuses.  I am off to see it tomorrow.  I am trying not to get too excited, just in case it is not Heavenly Fathers plan.
I will take pictures!
Pray for us!

Minutes turn into hours..and hours into days..and days into weeks..

I often find myself searching for time.  I often shuck off housework or other "wife" responsiblities in place of doing the this and that of being with my daughters!  But I often stop and look back on the things I did get done and the things that didn't get done and I sorta smile!  I rather have a house filled with laundry to put away and have had a great day with my girls, then having all the laundry done and a house that looks perfect!  My three girls are where I tend to measure my happiness!  Their smiles, their kisses, and their giggles are all I ever need!
So our house got a new addition!!!
His name is Logan!  He came to us crate trained, so we are still working on house breaking him.  But we seem to be on a pretty steady path!  When Maggie left, the girls wanted a puppy so badly they could taste him.  When we went to the Animal Control place, the girls saw him, and that was it.  He's a huge baby!  Here he is, on my couch.  His favorite napping spot!
And since lately the heat here has been insane and we miss the sprinkler park back in Charleston...we had to make our own

enjoy your days!  we are!

Things to do things to do!

WOW, it has been a busy couple of days! But it's it always with three children!

Heavenly Father has been awesome to me! I could list the millions of ways that he has blessed my family, but it's not necessary. My children and I know every details and sometimes that is just enough!

I guess tonight I am feeling a bit crazy. Well not crazy, nervous. Tomorrow I have to give my first talk in church. When the Elders called me and asked me the give the talk, I panicked slightly! Am I really "qualified" to give this talk? So all day I have sorta been thinking about it..and here I am ten thirty at night, finally finished with what I consider, my working final. It will probably need a whole handful more of crossing out and rewording, but hopefully it conveys what I need it to..rather..what I want it to. My children are SO excited I am giving a talk. Oh great, what pressure! Of course I will have to work like a dog not to sit there and just read from my notecards. So I keep reading it over and over so I sorta start to memorize it.

So ryan isn't home. Surprise surprise. I mean we are in the same state..so at least that is progress. But he had to switch his shift work, yea like that is a plus, so he was home, while the girls and I were out, and then is at the boat right now. Then tomorrow he has duty..and hopefully we see him at a normal hour Monday.

Whatelse whatelse...Oh the van is fixed, but the camry has to go back. Tyra went to the dentist and her wisdom teeth are coming out. YEA, teeth pulling...but not a huge deal, she has no cavities and has the best teeth this dentist has seen for someone just out of braces! That's my girl!!! But she did recommend sealants on her molars! So we will be back next week for that. Not to mention that the two piglets will have to go for cleanings. Here is hoping their teeth are as great as tyra's.

OH and tyra was in the goal..again to day. It was 2-2 but I have to say the best game they have played. She only played goal in the second half...yes without practice again...and the one she got scored on..was off a corner kick header. I hate say it..but it was awesome! Anyway...but she stopped six. What more can you really ask for! Oh wait to actually practice that position on tuesday and thursday. Oh my the things we ask for!

Well here is hoping that your mothers day is a lovely one. Like I said, ry works..so it will just be the girls and I..but I am making Kalua Pig for me..and I have a few peeps rolling in from church. At least I think so! So have an awesome day tomorrow. I am thinking about taking the chicklets to the beach!

Conversations from the craft room

#2: (While flipping through 800 pictures) Mama, you really take a lot of pictures. Some of them we aren't even smiling! And these, pointing to Halloween pictures, don't even look like me anymore. Is that why you take so many pictures mom? So you can remember what we looked like?

Me: Yes hunny, that is why I take so many pictures. So I don't forget.

#2: Good cause I don't remember being this cute!

Conversation with grumpy gills

I have a house that LLLOOOVVVEEESSS sleep. When anyone of my girlies come out of their bedrooms with even the slightest attitude, they are sent back to their rooms right away. Now explain to me why, husbands don't get it? I totally had to send Ryan to his room today. It is Ry's first day of shift work. And let's just go ahead and say, he isn't adjusting too well! And because he isn't adjusting well, about an hour before he went to bed, I decided that we could not have anymore conversation. AHHHH..what a test to my patience's. And then tomorrow we have to run about ten errands together. Let's just say I am SO excited! I am sure it is going to be everything I dreamed of! Wish me luck!

800 photos

That's how many I just sent off to Ritz to print. Yes I just did it. And I pretended it didn't cost me a small fortune. But if I don't have printed pictures then for sure I am not going to get any scrapbooking done. I have TONS of ideas floating around my head and have already started sketching layouts. I have been blog hopping and getting ideas..and of course..shopping for the needed supplies to make my stuff come to life. I am SUPER excited. Today, in between uploading. Have cleaned the kitchen from top to bottom, and have started on the the horrible clean laundry pile. I figuire I will get that all done, and then my guilt to have time to be creative will be gone and I can just sit down and get to it!
I'm excited!

Talents

Yesterday's lesson was about talents.  Do you know just what your talents are???  I mean beyond your creative talents.  But I am talking about all your talents all together.  A great listener and a great friend.  All of those are crazy important talents.
Did you know Heavenly Father gives you talents on a loaner basis?  If you don't use them..he will take them back.

So I have decided that I better get to using my talents...but I do have to discover just what they are.  I mean the crafty stuffs...that is easy..though I haven't done much of it lately.  I think this was the last thing I did..before we even moved to Florida!

I am totally changing that.  I am going to find time to print out the pictures and just do them.  I mean seriously....

this picture is just waiting to be scrapbooked some how!  I have oh about a hundred plus pictures that need to be developed and presented in some format!
I wonder what other talents I have!!  I am off to go find them..And YOU..use your talents!  Heavenly Father will take them back!

The Little Ways I fail

Over at Chris' blog Notes from the Trenches, she was brave enough to disclose the little ways she fails! Of course that had me thinking. I fail my children EVERYDAY! Huge things..no..but small enough things that add up that could probably make a huge thing...right?

1. Let's no go there with the Tooth Fairy. She has failed to deliver the dollars so many times. I just tell the girls, I forgot to call her. That in itself is a story for another time. But Santa and the Tooth Fairy don't get to come to my house without prior notice. My children are a bit scared of home invasion.

2. My children wear dirty socks, sometimes to soccer. I mean seriously..they are just socks..so what if they are all sweaty from practice and already have an aroma. Spray spray and you are good to go!

3. I almost never have overwhelming piles of dirty clothes..I have overwhelming piles of clean clothes..and I can often find my kids digging in piles looking for various items. I HATE PUTTING CLOTHES AWAY!

4. Some night, we have a whatever you find is what you eat for dinner. Lately, between soccer, ryan gone, and sickness, it has happened more times then not.

5. As I have had more children...I am either older and smarter or older and just lazier. Number one lived by the rules..as I am at number three...sometimes the rules slide! I know it isn't fair..but I am one person..and I am out numbered!

6. OH the sock bin. Let's just leave it at that!

7. My youngest still wears underwears that were her sisters. Not her seven year old sister, her thirteen year old sister. I can't help it if they are still in awesome working condition. Sad, yes I know!

8. I often blow off something responsible to do something fun with the kids. I know I know you say that is okay. But when you do it everyday, its just avoidance!

9. I don't cut my own grass. I am just too stinkin lazy! I pay someone else to do it when Ryan is out of town. I would plant and do all those kinds of fun garden things..but grass cutting..no thanks!

10. In my car we have a lot of "back up" items. Why you ask....well often we are running late or something or the other and so we have a brush..rubberbands..lotion..glue stick and a few other things just in case we need them in the van. Yea we have so left the house without shoes or hair brushed more times then i care to remember.

I am sure I can think of a million or eleven more ways I fail..but I have to say..sometimes at night I am just happy my kids are still alive. I think that for everywhere I fail..I make up with successes! Right?? I mean seriously..
They sure look happy! And well fed! Right?
