Easter Pictures

I always try and take great pictures of my children on Easter. BUT we are always rushed. Either running out the door to church or my kids are trying to see what the Easter Bunny left them..so this year, thanks to a cool friend, recommended getting the girls ready a day early and take their pictures. I mean..simply GENUIS! So outside we went. Thank goodness for sunny skies and a huge enough back yard! Oh and cooperative children begging for lunch!

Oh I took about 200 but I am not going to bore you with all of them. Well....except for my mom!

Freezing Waters

The sun was up and the day looked beautiful, until you actually got in the water! My friend Jessalee has a great pool in her community and we decided to jump on that bandwagon and go have some fun! It was a great day, so we thought it would be perfect...till we got there. The water was freezing....and....boy was it windy! But we got some cute shots of the girls. And her girl too!

Maggie hits the beach

Yesterday was the day of spring break the girls and I were waiting for. But of course, my batteries died in my camera mid day..and I was not walking back to the parking lot for new ones..

But it was Maggie's first beach trip!
So the girls got dressed and packed bags..and off to the beach we went! The entire way the girls kept saying, thank you mommy for us living so close to the beach! Maggie was not interested in pictures. She is a bit camera shy..she will have to adjust!

We spent a fantastic day out. We were at the beach from about 11 till 4 or so. Then headed into downtown Fernandina for some ice cream and just trotting around downtown. My girls love just walking around down there. When we came home yesterday we were exhausted!! Today is Friday and I am planning on taking them back to the beach today..maybe get in some volleyball!

Mr. Sun sun...Mr. Golden Sun

So our spring break has had a couple..let's just say it...crappy days! It was either cold or overcast, so we weren't encouraged to go anywhere. We even talked about headed down to Disney, but no one was smart enough to budget that for spring break so the girls got creative

and make up their own Disney adventure!

Who needs Disney when my kids can pretend. Yes right, we already are making plans to go to Disney when our cousins get here!

But thank goodness it got warm so we headed to the park for football, playground, scooters, and basketball. Tyra learned how to throw a football correctly. Always an important trait for a girl to know! Thank goodness we have "brothers" to show her how!

So the weather outside is blah. Why on spring break is it blah? Heavenly Father, please send us some sun. My girls really want to spend their days at the pool or at the beach! I know..selfish right. Well they have spent a large part of the past two days outside with her

Underway

So Ryan finally got underway.  Now I am not trying to make it be all that dramatic.  But he was going..then didn't go..then might go..then might not go...and then checked off leave and then called to say he leaves tomorrow.  WOW!  

So the girls and I are adjusting to life without the man in the house.  Of course he leaves.  Nanea has surgery on the 14th, and #1 needs to have a procedure to check if her liver is functioning correctly.  Not to mention soccer season is in full swing.  Ah..life as a Navy wife.  I am not complaining, Ry has basically be on land for the last six years.  And when we were apart, there was always a phone call or email possible.  

So since it is spring break this week, I plan to fight the couch and have my children busy everyday.  BUT I hear the rain and the weather is not cooperating with my spring break plans.  I was thinking maybe a quick run to Disney, but #1 still has soccer practice.  Oh bother!

So here we are...at 842pm, and my house is quiet.  I guess it's off to bed for me here soon.  I have some pictures to post..but my camera is in the other room..and I am just too lazy...

But...we got a dog!

Building my ark

Florida has been one hot mess of rain lately. Not that I am complaining, cause FL needed the rain. But when yu have to swim home from the movie theater, it's a bit much! So I am slowly building my ark, just in case God has some ideas.

So last night I took my #1 to see this.

It was pretty rockstar. And we saw it in what we think was the IMAX theater. So even though we got home at a little after 2 am. And I had to be up and taking Ry to work with the chickens...I am so happy her and I got to go. I love one on one time with my girls!
