So everyone loves Christmas. Well I do..and I have to say it is my very favorite time of the year. This year I stumbled upon this blog. Living-In theory and through her HP is giving away their new touch computer. I mean how rockstar is that? All you have to do is tell them how you are going to us it to touch each someone elses life!
SO...my I had to stop and really think..how I would "change" the world. I really didn't have a story. How would little oh me, change the world. Then I started to think, I sorta change the world everyday. I am raising three pretty productive daughters. And each day my life is pretty much dedicated to them. With a new touch computer Tyra could actually have a desktop computer to home school at. I am sure it would absolutely help her with all her designing things she does on the computer and could probably help us both with our love for photography!
Traysea would love to have a computer she could just touch and go. I promise that child is a treasure trove of knowledge waiting to escape. Just if we had enough to challenge her each day.
Nanea, is another wealth of knowledge waiting to be excited!
I sometimes I feel...that with as much as I do and give to the girls, there is SO much more they need. With Ryan here and there..and studying for the last six years, the girls have only really had me. And sometimes I just sorta feel like if there were the two of us, on a regular basis, so much more could be accomplished.
I guess if I win this way cool HP package then I will have to be the secretary, flyer making, treasure, or anything computer based thing..go to person for all of my clubs that I am involved with. Oh wait..I already am that girl. But now my stuffs can look SUPER COOL! Right? That means the Dolphin Store, FRG for Ryan's boat, The KBOWC, and the girls PTO would be very happy campers!
So my life changing bit starts at home. All I can do is embrace every moment with my girls. Hug them, tell them I love them everyday, know when to push them, and know when to cuddle them. It's a tough job, but I am glad that I am the one that gets to do it. So start small and let the ripple effect take place.

What better place to change the world than in your own home?! Being a good parent and sharing with your own family is as important as any "cause" at least in my opinion! Take care.
I love your post. We run a community with a goal to change the world one mom at a mom. You are spot on in that if you can help change what you have influence over right now... your children... then you are making one of the biggest impacts you can make.
Good luck with the contest. Thanks for such an uplifting post. And, may you and your family enjoy a wonderful holiday season!
I totally agree in that it all starts at home. Girl, you know we agree on that! The one major thing we discussed when we met was our kids. With your three and my three? That might be enough to start changing the world!
Thanks for your comment and thanks for asking how you could help, Ronee. We have lots of plans for 2009.... ways in which you can get involved. In the meantime, you can join us at our weekly GNO event. The next one is one twitter tomorrow night (Tues, Dec 16) at 6 p.m. PST/9 p.m.EST. The topic is on Random Acts of Kindness (RAK). We issued a challenge 2 weeks ago for GNO Gals (people in our community) to perform one RAK, write a blog post about it, and submit it to us so we could feature ideas and stories in a newsletter and on our website. The deadline for entering is tomorrow (has been extended) and we will start posting stories tomorrow night. Our newsletter will go out the end of this week. Participating in this by either submitting a post, signing up for our newsletter, visiting our blog, or participating in GNO is a way to help spread the holiday cheer now. Visit http://mommygossip-cares.blogspot.com/2008/12/gnos-happiness-headline-challenge.html to find more details. Then, watch as we go live with our new website the end of January for more ways to get involved and make a difference one mom at a time!
Thanks again for asking. We'd be thrilled to have you be part of our wonderful community of moms and women!
Merry Christmas!
Always so much to do, and reliable computers are more and more essential to that! Blessings and good luck!
How rockstar are you? I bet your daughters sure think so, and I have an idea that they'll be the happy healthy productive children that you're raising them to be (and the computers wouldn't hurt your efforts). Thanks for sharing honestly and generously!
